The Fool|Ricardo signifies that this is a new beginning, just as you have new leads in every case. However, whether you choose to recognise them or not is up to you. There is a grave danger at this point of being stupid.
The Sun|A tabloid newspaper that -- sorry. The son here is Trey. He's someone's son alright, but whose? Whether Cole or Greasy Greg's the father, the Sun signifies a happy time all round and birthdays that last forever. Health is good too, as long as you don't mind people taking blood from you for paternity tests.
The Moon|Mooning after Cole and mooning after the son she knows isn't hers, Caitlin's the epitome of creativity and motherhood. She said she was a mother and made it all up. Stand by for a time of new ideas, people trying to fool you (and succeeding) and giving birth. (Didn't Scarpetta say that hurts?)
The Emperor|Greg's in charge, bless him. What he doesn't own is none of his own doing - people, businesses or places. When Greg turns up, it means a time when you have total control. Everyone hates you, but you have total control. Mmm. Nice.
The Empress|Luvvie Livvy has slept with her husband, AJ and his son, making her a person who's been there, done that and stuffed a turkey with a bit more than Paxo. Watch out for a powerful woman in your life, and hide the vodka.
The High Priest|He stands for morals and the right thing to do, which is more than Antonio does. Should Father Fit appear, lock your girlfriend in the bedroom, don't listen to a damn' word your brother says and throw away your VCR.
The High Priestess|Madmum Carmen signifies that you may have the right answer but no one's going to believe you because they think you're insane. The card's all about secrecy. While you'll never keep yours from Madame Torres, she'll never be told the whole truth because the spirits are on spirits. Hold gin parties until this influence passes.
The Magician |This card signifies confidence, intelligence and making the right decisions. So choosing between Meg and Maria has been absolutely no problem for Ben Evans. He chose one, then let the other one move in too. Marvelous. When the card is reversed, it means Derek's back.
The Lovers|Shaun and Emily, of course. Ah, young love. They're American, they've seen what their partner's going to look like without surgery in their seventies and they didn't freak. It must be the real thing. Your love life will be perfect as long as Aaron Spelling's your father.
The Chariot|Not a vehicle with much up top, Casey still manages to drive Sarah to distraction. And he could probably make progress with any red-blooded female, as long as he didn't have to read or anything like that. You will triumph over any other obstacles though. Apparently.
Justice|Saint Meg, the patron saint of doormats, stands for equality and fairness and letting other people walk over you. So much so, it makes the rest of us want to hurl. This is Mother Teresa all over again (albeit less wrinkly and possibly taller). It signifies that someone's about to pass you a bucket.
The Hermit|Aaron Spelling has turned his back on real life entirely, preferring to reflect on his own thoughts. He thinks that SB storylines are realistic, the floors of The Deep are made of plywood and Benjy looks like his parents. You need to get a life.
The Wheel of Fortune|One minute Cole's doing well, the next it all falls apart. He's a thief, then he goes straight. He has a young, blonde wife, and sleeps with her old Mum. He has a son, he doesn't have a son. This card warns you to stay away from hair gel and bimbos.
Strength|Tyus is the man who reads out paternity test results. As if helping Vanessa with her boils wasn't enough, he's now saved Ricardo's life on the operating table. (Lucky it wasn't Rick's brain - microsurgery or what?) It means that you can draw on inner strength, which is more than SB storylines can do.
The Hanged Man|He made sure his daughter had to marry the world's greasiest man in order to inherit after his death. So Annie's dad deserved hanging almost as much as she does. The Hanged Man stands for optimism. At least if you end up in Hell, it could be worse. You could be Annie.
Death|The Rosario jewels, of course. The card signifies a transformation. If you're an SB boy, your left hand ages first. If you're a girl, those facial wrinkles go well beyond anything you've ever seen on a Shar Pei. If you're a normal person, it means nothing more than change. <tinkle jingle> Cheers, guv. Read yer palm?
Temperance|The SB pier is the only aspect of the place that could honestly claim to be balanced. There's been a tidal wave and an earthquake, and Bette's place was turned upside down by the police (SB speak for "move things around a little bit"). It means a time of efficiency and responsibility. You're not in the cast, then.
The Devil|How's the tan coming along Frannie? Just a quick visit home, eh? Francesca's roasting in hell. But as she's the woman we love to loathe, it won't be long before she's running the place. The card represents a stifling influence. That catsuit, probably. Ouch. Don't bend. If you must, mind the seam.
The Tower|"Meg's engaged to my husband? That ugly kid's my son? That slapper's my best friend? That lunatic's my mother?" This stands for nasty surprises, and Maria's had enough of those. When reversed, it's where Michael works as a lifeguard: loads of crap going on around you, but you're the last to notice.
The Star|Aunt Bette has a baby-napping harpy for a niece, a lush for a best mate and her precious daughter's going out with Shaun. Can anyone have hope after that? You betcha already, Dimplecheeks. The Star stands for optimism and good times. Which Bette will then write up in her column as six Tequila Slammers too many.
Judgement|Gabby wanted to mete out her own judgement on Ricardo by accusing him of raping her when he hadn't. The most unusual chat-up line in history worked. They fell in love, decided to marry and then she slept with his brother the priest. This stands for assessing your own actions. Regular guilt trips are optional.
The World|The card signifies elation, self-being and a sense of oneness. What psychotwaddle. The only truly happy character in SB is the dog. He gets fed, watered, walked, sent out of the room, and otherwise lives a dog's life. Hurrah for contentment. When's SB on next?
